(b. 1997, Philadelphia, USA)
Nicole Taylor DeWitt is an abstract photographer and visual artist whose process begins by developing 35mm film and photographic enlargements by hand. She uses specialized photochemistry to develop negatives, and creates one-of-a-kind photographs in the darkroom using vintage enlargers, equipment, and traditional photographic techniques. Through experimenting with in-camera multi-exposures and subject isolation, DeWitt explores the range between precision and abstraction.
Original enlargements available at Herron House in Costa Mesa, California.
